Praying For The Salvation Of Others

Bible Verse: John 6:43, NIV

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day”.

Have you been praying for the salvation of others? Are there loved ones – spouses, children, friends, extended family – that you would want to see come to know Jesus? As a child, I prayed for years that my mother and siblings would come to know Jesus. It took a long time, but today they are all saved.

This verse is a great reminder that it is God who draws the hearts of men. It is God who calls them to Himself. If we want our loved ones saved, we have to keep praying that the Lord will pull their hearts strings and draw them to himself no matter how long it takes.

Despite our best efforts, know that God does the calling. Our part in this is to continue to pray for their hearts to remain sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and for them to heed the call. Our part is also to be vigilant and ready to act as arrows and road signs, helping them along and pointing the way to the Father. No one who comes to Him will be turned away. We must stand always prepared to share the word of God and the testimony of our salvation. We must ensure that our lives are in alignment with God’s word.

So I encourage you today, do not give up. As you keep praying for the salvation of others, the Lord will draw their hearts to Him and they will respond.
