Are you submitted to the God you talk about?
Hearing the Word won’t necessarily build your life, especially if you’re not going to do anything with it. You must do what you hear.
Doing is like digging – there isn’t any shortcut. It’s the doing that gives you protection in the rough times. Note that this story says the storm came to both houses, the well built and the shoddily built. The shoddily built house was totally and completely destroyed after the storm. There was nothing left in its place.
A life not devoted to obeying Gods word, is like this shoddily built house with shallow foundations. The storms of life would greatly destroy and devastate you because you have no roots. The breakthrough is in the doing. The protection is in the doing. You need to walk in obedience today!!! Your life here and hereafter depends on it!
