Ephesians 3:1- 21
Imagine if Paul, during his very many extended stays in prison had spent the time griping and complaining and whining and asking incessantly, ‘when, Lord. Whats the plan for my life?’
Like us, Paul didn’t have the full picture too. He didn’t know the end from the beginning, just like we do not. Jesus had promised to be with him, just like He’s promised to be with us. So what did this guy do while in prison?
Preaching, winning souls, singing, writing the epistles that are today the framework of the Christianity we hold so dear.
Imagine what would have happened if he had spent all that time whining and being miserable, thinking about himself, his ‘fulfillment’, what loss that would have been to the body of Christ!
When we spend time whining, complaining and not being productive, we should stop and think about what we are costing the body of Christ. We’re stopping them from benefiting from our gifts and our productivity!
If you’re discouraged today, I pray that God will open your eyes right now, to see how important you are to Him and to us all. I pray that God will help you focus strongly on what he’s called you to do. That this sense of purpose will help and propel you through the difficult phases of life. I pray that God will put a new song in your mouth. Stop whining!! And be about your Father’s business!!!
