Philippians 1:9-11
‘I pray that your love will keep on growing. . .’
We’ll all readily admit we love God, Christians that is. Though sometimes reality proves we loves our selves a lot more.
But, lets think a minute about the evidence of our love for God. Love shows, love manifests and love grows.
This scripture today is a prayer that our love for God would grow, would abound and increase. The evidence of this would be in the greater depth of our acquaintance with Him, and in the increase of wholesome discernment in Him. Let this love help us know Him better and deeper. We pray for insight( the ability to perceive and understand Him more clearly and more deeply), and discernment too, that will keep us on the path of right all the time.
