Isn’t it wonderful how God just chooses to love up on us, His children. I write this at about 6.30 am on the 1st day in October. God’s word conveys His intentions – what He wants to do. Psalm 68:11(NIV) comes to mind – “The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng”
Abundantly Blessed
Oh October, hear ye the word of the Lord: 2 Corinthians Chapter 9
Verse 8: And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.
Verse 10 & 11: Now He who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed for sowing [that is, your resources] and increase the harvest of your righteousness [which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love]. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous, and this [generosity, administered] through us is producing thanksgiving to God [from those who benefit].
I definitely feel like this is going to take a while to unpack completely. Every favor and every blessing? Wow!! Complete sufficiency in everything? Wowza!! Provide and multiply our resources? Okayyyyy!!!! Increase our harvest of righteousness? Good God!!! Enriched in every way? Say what?!!
This is definitely one of those scriptures you sit on, meditate on, pray on and place a demand on till you see the manifestation of what He has promised.
You know how sometimes you wake up with a song on repeat in your spirit? I didn’t even know the complete lyrics but Youtube came to the rescue. Here it is – by the really wonderful and anointed Nathaniel Bassey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaktFvgyImE
Take The Stage, Lord
Take the stage, Lord and have your way.
I am just a vessel and nothing more.
When you’re done, please take the glory
I am satisfied, just to see you glorified.
In conclusion, absolutely love how Paul ended this chapter because really I’ve got nothing else to add :). “Now thanks be to God for His indescribable gift [which is precious beyond words]!” (2 Corinthians 9:15, AMP)
Have an absolutely fantastic October!
