Gen 19:1-end
Lord, help me not to be like Lot who couldn’t save even his wife and daughters from destruction! He was too weak to instruct his household in the ways of Jehovah. He had no influence whatsoever. Such a bland life.
Instead, I desire to be like Abraham, for even You testified that Abraham taught his whole household, servants included the ways of Jehovah.
I repent right now of every passivity concerning my faith. I will not hide my faith under the bed in my bedroom any more. No one lights a candle and puts it under a bush, I am one lighted candle! I resolve to let my light shine. Let my passion for you be infectious. Give me boldness to share your truth and your goodness, without being obnoxious and annoying.
I will instruct my household in your ways O Jehovah. I take responsibility, I will not bury my head in the sand. I will teach my kids, my maids, my family members and every one who abides under my roof, the ways of God. Only godliness will be enthroned in my home.
