Because He inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call on Him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:2)
Like an adult stoops to listen to a child speak,
stopping all else, even momentarily
falling down on one knee, and bending your head to one side.
Then let the child whisper into your ear.
In that moment, I am important.
Important enough to receive His full attention whenever I tug at His robe
He leaves all else and leans over,
coming down to my level
To hear what I have to say
Oh what a Father,
What amazing, patient love
This is why I will always call on Him as long as I live,
For He will always stop and listen to what I have to say.
